whats the best way to lose about 15lb in 30 days?
i can’t do a long term fast, and i don’t have access to a gym/fitness equipment ATM,
i think i’ll end up at around 147lb after xmas, i hope to lose at least 5lb on a juicefast/fast/fruitfast for 6 days (2 days of each) then i want to lose an additional 15lb before feb 1. best way to go about it? thanks!!!
(note: i am a sufferer. have been in recovery. am trying to lose recovery/christmas weight after christmas and my fasty thing) and if it makes any difference i’m 5’8/145 atm.

i’m a sufferer.
i’ve been in recovery which is why i’m so fat
(i got out at 180lb and i’ve lost 35lb. i need to lose 15lb in january.)
its not that i’m not motivated
cant afford a gym, and my parents are waiting till there is a sale at target or w/e so they can buy an elliptical
most i can do is a 1/2 hour walk and stretches till my muscles hurt (which doesnt burn calories)
im trying to get my parents to rent a treadmill. idk if it’ll work though
alliana: i’ve already been in recovery. i weighed 105 and was 5’7. which wasnt even that skinny.
but anyway most i ever lost was 10lb in a month.

I’m an ex-anorexics Are you crazy – I’m not going to tell you how to kill yourself.
Eat a healthy breakfast, but no lunch, and a small-ish dinner.
I lost five pounds doing that just last week. :]
I’m now 5’6" and 100 lbs.

Why are you asking anorexics? They starve themselves to near death and have to be counseled and go into rehab.
You’re a healthy weight.
eat healthy go for walks.Do not starve yourself this does not help you keep weight off. Just eat really healthy.
eat <200 calories and burn >400 calories a day

I am sure you know that there are many health alternatives out there other then starving yourself. You said that you had been in recovery, so you may have picked up some tools. You have a disease, which is totally curable. Make the choice to become happier and healthier for you. Addictions can be beat, but you must make the first step. Good Luck.

i substituted snacks with water…and went without big meals while working out….
i lost 10lbs in a month

and run or ride a bike around the block like 15 times but not fast or your legs will get tired
It sounds like you are having trouble being motivated to actually exercise. Not having equipment shouldn’t matter. There is always jogging, push-ups, sit-ups, crunches, hopping up stairs etc.

Nothing wrong with fasting. For health’s sake, I wouldn’t do more than a 36-hour Juice Fast once a week without a Doctor’s consent. Anything more than that, and you should seriously consider consulting with a doctor before attempting it. The debilitating effects of a bad diet can really take their toll.
erm well what i did once is i waited till i was proper hungry and then i would smell the food and i wouldnt want any food then dnoo if its just me it works on lol
and alsoyou could just eat until your full but only on low fat and calorie products
orr sometimes it works with me but it might not work so well with you is you wait till your really really hungry and then the hungryness passes away and dosnt come back untill about 2-3 hours later i also eat very slowly so your food can congest properly this way you will know when you have eaten till you are full and you will find that you wont eat as much as usual
btw i have just lost half a stone using a mixture of these methods in the last month

If you weigh 145 you like food and hate exercise.Anorexics hate food. You have to get screwed up in the head before you can do what they do. What about cutting out junk food and start exercising? You’ll lose weight slower, but you’ll keep it off.
i lost 19 pounds in 3 weeks using this dieting pill called akavar. i thought it wouldnt work, but it did. it like fills you up and you wont eat as much as you usually do. its really cheap too. so i mean, its up to you. i did it because i was desperate. but it does work.
well drinking cold juice when you do the juice fast will burn more calories because your body is trying to warm it’s self up, which uses the calories. Then for the fast drink warm water it will make you feel fuller and drink as much as you can so you can suppress your cravings. for the fruit fast eat any fruits you want. pretty much all of them will be good. since they burn more calories than they give you eat as much as you want it will only help you lose more weight. make sure you have a good 10 glasses of water a day though.
Honestly, if you stop eating, you’re just going to gain weight. If you keep eating a healthy amount, and exercising regularly, you’ll be fine.
So I’m 5’9 and 140 pounds, and recovering from anorexia. An honest answer is starving yourself and running your ass off if you really want to loose weight that fast. Realistically, I posted many questions like this before, and now I realize I was really stupid for doing this. I became so depressed and unhappy after starving myself, that now, I have to fix everything I have done to my body. And this was less than a month ago! I still want to loose more weight, but now I’m eating 1000 calories a day, and trying to exercise daily. I sware it’s so much better. We all want to be thin and fit and think we will be so much happier, I also believe this, but I also now know that is no way to live, and you will end up gaining it all back or getting really sick, TRUST ME! oh boy!!! they say that the maximum healthy weight lost a person should do is about 2 pounds a week. Assuming a 4 week month then the maximum weight you should loose in one month is 8lb not 30lb. 30lb is too much and is unhealthy. You are actually doing yourself a lot of harm.
Look at it from another point of view. Your body has many survival mechanism. these come from the old days when food was not as abundant as it is today. You could go for days before you eate maybe a few berries. Thus, your body is made to retain fat because, back in the day you never knew when your next meal will be. Because of this when you go on starvation mode your body reacts by slowing down. Notice how I said starvation mode and not diet. Diet means eating the right things in the right amounts. Too much or too little of something and is bad for you. When you go on starvation it is not a diet and it is not healthy plus it has the oposite effect of slowing your metabolism down. Again, it comes from the old days. Again, in the old days you didn’t know when you would eat again so if there was a lack of food your body slows down to reating as much fat as possible. When you starve yourself the same thing happens. The problem is that when you when you go back to eating normal once again your body still think you are in starvation mode thus you gain weight quicker than before. this is the reason most so call diets fail. You want to loose weight, then become very active and eat the right things.
