The Image Of Men’s Weight Loss Is Changing

Hi Everyone,

The public face of weight loss programs for men is changing.  The superstar athletes peviously used to promote male weight loss are being replaced by guys who like many of us want to lose a few pounds to look better.


The image of dieting as a mainly female concern is being shed as a result of this change.  Weight loss companies who have previously branded dieting as something just women do, now have to include men in their targeting.


Why is this change occuring?  Whereas women usually react to what they see in a photograph or in the mirror, men are stirred into action only when it becomes a health issue.  With the higher awareness of the health consequences of male obesity such as diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease, more men are actively trying to lose weight.


This changing face of weight loss can only encourage more men to take positive steps to control of their health.

Conquer The Weight Loss Plateau And Acquire Sixpack Abs

Your goal to lose belly fat is going well.  The pounds are burning off at a regular rate.  Your wish to flatten your stomach and marvel at your sixpack abs is in sight.  You are regularly performing abs workouts.  All of a sudden, you cease losing anymore weight.  You continue faithfully with your weight loss plan but, your weight stays static.  What has happened?

Simple, you have reached the weight loss plateau.

So what is the weight loss plateau?  

This is a term used when your body has developed an acceptance of your fat burning regime and has become incapable of losing any more weight.  The reason for this is because your metabolic rate has adjusted itself to balance your weight loss plan’s diet and exercise.  Your metabolism will naturally adapt itself to your weight loss eating pattern.

How do you conquer your weight loss plateau?

You need to trick your metabolism into allowing your body to continue burning fat.  You can do this by changing the pattern that your metabolism has become used to so that after sufficient time, your weight loss regime once more is effective.

One way of changing the pattern is to add strength and weight training to your regime.  Another is to increase the difficulty levels of your exercises or target less-developed muscle areas.  These changes can often force your metabolism to readapt and allow your body to resume losing weight until a balance has been reached once again.

Something else you can do is to make alterations to the time frame between your meals.  Perhaps by adding more meals but, reducing the portions of each.  This can fool your metabolism into further adapting and so kick-start your weight loss program.

You must bear in mind that what works for one person may not be as successful for another person.  Whilst a simple alteration of times between meals may be adequate to ignite the fat burning process for some, others with slower metabolisms may need to employ a combination of exercises for abs and diet program modifications to achieve those sixpack abs.  

The crucial point is to discover a method that is effective for your specific metabolism.

The Parasitic Worm Diet Craze

Hi Guys,

I thought that I had heard all of the somewhat crazy fad diets going around the world, well how wrong I was.

I have just read a news item about the latest diet craze in Hong Kong where obesity has soared.  What’s this latest craze called that is wild in the oriental world – the Parasitic Worm Diet.

How does this diet work?  Simple, just swallow an ascaria or to be more explicit, a giant intestinal roundworm.  This creature will then absorb the nutrients from the food you consume and before you know it your waistline is being whittled down.

Are they kidding?  There is no way I would do that.


And if you are that desperate to lose excess fat that you feel tempted to try it out – DON’T BE.  Once these worms have hatched in your intestines, not only can they grow to 15in long, they can lay up to 200,000 more eggs per day in your gut.

Sounds like something out of a Sci-Fi movie to me!
