@xsliceofheavenx Birds have a special sac to help digest grains, we humans do not theiefore when we eat grain it ferments in our intestines and causes mucos. If you soak and sprout your grains it is easier to digest.
Dan, do you have any thoughts about December 21, 2012?
@bisakol71 Birds have a special sac to help digest grains, we humans do not theiefore when we eat grain it ferments in our intestines and causes mucos. If you soak and sprout your grains it is easier to digest.
@bisakol71 it all depends on what you are trying to accomnplish. Tofu isnt raw and it has Soy which isnt good for you. Fish has lots of mercury, it is animal protein which your body will have a hard time digesting. But you have to go with what feels right to you and what is your intentions.
@UniqueLilBabi by eating kale, collard greens, spinach, brocolli, carrots, dates, oranges, raisins, et . Most fruits and vegigies contain Calcium, now add some sunshine to the mix and you will get your vitamin D. People in a standard american diet supplement with calcium because their food is dead and pasteurized. If you eat plenty of raw fruits and veggies you won’t be deficient in calcium, allowing your body to absorb it and not take it from your bones.
I’ve been hearing a bit about the high fat gourmet trap many raw foodists are falling into. I think its more about finding a balance your body is happy with.
how do u get calcium in fruits and veggies?
Dan, it would be great if you could help (famous youtuber) Shay Carl lose weight. He is currently trying to lose weight on his channel (shayloss) Wonder if you could try to reach him.

Nutrition, It’s good for you!,
This was a required text for my college nutrtion course. It was very useful and helpful for me when I wanted to learn how to combine foods for the most nutrient rich diet for my family. I have a young child and wanted to learn the best foods to optimize his health. There was a chapter specific to his age group, as well as chapters on nutrient needs for the pregnant and lacting mother. I was fascinated by the wealth of information this text provides. The authors need to review some of their end of chapter tests and be certain that they have answered correctly.

|Same as 2nd edition. Save your money!,
I just had my first class and the 1st edition seems to be the identical as the newer edition. I was a bit worried but it’s only missing two very minor sections on Alcohol and Phytochemicals and functioning foods. This is easily found online. I believe I will do great with this book and I will try to update after the course is over. I recommend buying this edition since it’s much cheaper then other alternatives by far.
