Fitness Routine Help Please!?
Question by ferretfighterx: Fitness Routine Help Please!?
hi guys. ok,so im 16 years old and have recently returned to playing competetive tennis after a long break from a wrist injury (its all fine now though:)) anyway, i really need to get fit again and wanted to start fitness/cardio classes, but havent got the money for them….however i do have some gym equipment at home. i was wondering if anyone who has gone to these classes could tell some sort of timetable or something that they did,so i could do the same stuff from home?
i have a treadmill, cross trainer, skipping rope, lateral thigh trainer, stairs (lol), loads of dumbells/weights.
so could anyone help me with a fitness routine/timetable?:) i really need to push myself and get reallly really fit and hard work doesnt scare me.
thanks in advance for any help!:)
i dont know if this will help at all,but basically my desired result is that i want to be fit enough to play and stay sharp for 3 hours of tennis in one session, several times a week. without getting insanely tired halfway through

You don’t need a gym but you do need to have a more specific goal than get fit. Your general goal allows only fro a general response so as far as the cardio, whether it be the treadmill or skipping rope or running, do 30 minutes a day at least 3 times a week. As for the weights, use weights that allow you to do 12 repetitions and do 3 sets of them. Don’t work the same muscle two days in a row. When you can do the 12 repetitions easily add more weight (about every 3 weeks).

Sounds like you have all the equipment to have a great home workout. I do have a site that mite be able to help, which has home workouts listed, but they focus more on muscular training,
