Lifetime Fitness Gym or Gold’s?
My husband and I just recently moved and want to join a local gym. I want to join Gold’s, but he wants to join Lifetime. I’m trying to weigh the pros and cons….although I love Gold’s (atmosphere, equipment etc.) ….you have to sign a contract. Lifetime is month to month, but cost more.
My husband loves the pool at Lifetime and they have more equipment, but I can’t see paying almost double…seems over-rated. I just want to go in do my cardio and weight training without being bothered.
Can anyone tell me whether they belong to Gold’s Gym or Lifetime Fitness what you like or dislike about it?

Comments on Lifetime Fitness Gym or Gold’s?
I have moved a lot and been a member at four different gyms as well as the gym at college during those years. I am currently at Gold’s due to a contract and convenience (very close by). However, I would rate it 3rd out of 5.
#1) Fitness Plus
– Pros – Great atmosphere, tons of equipment, decent hours, good price ($25/month)
– Cons – I moved, otherwise I’d still be a member
#2) College
– Pros – Good atmosphere, almost all equipment, free (lol)
– Cons – Not the best hours, and I had to graduate at some time
#3) Gold’s Gym
– Pros – Lots of equipment, decent hours, decent price ($35/month)
– Cons – Not the best atmosphere, shady locker-rooms.
#4) Planet Fitness
– Pros – 24/7 during the week and good hours on the weekend. Good atmosphere. Excellent price ($15/month)
– Cons – limited equipment
#5) World’s Gym
– Pros – Decent hours, and I got a ridiculously low price ($10/month)
– Cons – Old equipment, some of it broken. Not the best atmosphere. Also, it closed. lol.
This has been my personal experience. I’m sorry I have no input on Lifetime Fitness.
I go to Lifetime and let me tell you this is the best gym I have ever been apart of. The place is absolutely huge. It has everything you could ever want…you could practically live there. Yes, it is very expensive, but if $ is not object for you then you should just go there. Trust me, once you join, you will never look back, and your husband will love you for letting him join as well. lol..good luck!!
