Hi Everyone,

I have just read an interesting article where the author describes how, despite generally leading a healthy lifestyle; he noticed the pounds slowly creeping on.  The jeans were becoming tight and uncomfortable to wear and the shirt looked better left out than tucked in.  He wanted to lose weight fast.  He went on to describe how initially, in desperation, he turned to fad diets as an answer.

Do you know the feeling?  I certainly do.  It’s so easy; especially over the festive season to, not only overeat but, to eat unhealthy foods.  It’s so easy to think that indulging yourself for a couple of days will do no harm.  Wrong!  It does not stop there.  You now have a taste again for foods and cookies absolutely loaded with calories.  What about all that rich food left over?  You can’t let that go to waste can you?

Putting on weight, especially belly fat is so easy to do if you stray from a healthy eating regime.  Very often a little panic now sets in and you look for ways to get rid of it fast and all too often that leads to the fad diets.  These are the diets that promise to reduce weight fast.  Some of them work but, they are a short-term solution because, not only do they begin to affect your energy levels, as soon as you resume normal eating they weight creeps back.

In the long term you need to eat a sensible, healthy diet that will not only reduce your belly fat but, sustain your body’s fitness also.

To many people the word ‘diet’ indicates starvation.  This is untrue if you eat a healthy food regime.  In my case, not only does it keep my weight down, I feel so much healthier too.  I am a big fan of the ‘Weight Watchers’ plan because, it works for me.  I can lose those extra inches that I have put on over the festive season without feeling hunger pangs, feel much more ‘alive’ and really enjoy the recipes.

Of course, what suits one person does not another, but there a lots of healthy diet plans readily available and one of them will be right for you.
